Hans Myklebust CFP®, CLU®, ChFC®, CASL®
Wealth Management Advisor
Hans Myklebust began his career at Northwestern Mutual in 2004. Hans is currently a Partner and Wealth Management Advisor at Myklebust, Horne and Fies (MHF) Financial Group in Mequon, WI. Hans specializes in wealth accumulation strategies, comprehensive retirement planning, and estate planning to help people optimize the accumulation, protection, distribution, and succession of their personal and business-related wealth. He focuses on being a financial guide for his clients; Hans helps carry the load of making large financial decisions to help navigate through the good times and bad so that clients can live their best lives in retirement. Hans was named Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisor in 2022 & 2023.
Hans is married to Lisa and together they have two adult children, Nate and Anna. In his spare time Hans enjoys spending time with his family at their cabin, skiing, snowmobiling and all the other “up north” activities! Hans also spends his time volunteering with the Alzheimer’s Association and Habitat for Humanity.
Barry Fies CFP®, CLU®, ChFC®
Wealth Management Advisor
Barry joined Northwestern Mutual in 2009 after completing the internship program. Since starting his career, he has developed an unrelenting passion for the planning process. One of his core values is continuous learning, which he feels helps strengthen the value proposition to our clients. Managing wealth requires strategies that go beyond mere performance. As a Wealth Management Advisor, Barry prefers to leverage a team-based consultative approach to strategic financial planning. Barry prides himself on being like the CFO for his clients and their families. Whether it is helping them through complex equity grants and ownership structures, or planning for their child’s college, or aiding with decisions around health insurance and life insurance – Barry tries to focus his efforts on the holistic picture, planning for the future and not just managing money. Barry enjoys working with younger clients across the country with high income potential and complex compensation structures, as well as traditional clients with established net worth and wealth to manage. Barry was named Forbes Next-Gen Wealth Advisor 2022, ranked #1 in the state of Wisconsin. Barry was also named to the Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisor 2023 list.
Barry is a Wisconsin native and currently resides in Jackson with his wife, Molly, and children, Harrison, Claire, Jane and Elle. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, golf and volunteering through the Milwaukee Zoological Society. Barry graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and is a Marquette University High School alum.
Maria Kelly Roloff CFP®, CLU®, CLTC®
Wealth Management Advisor
Maria joined Northwestern Mutual in 2009 after selling her family business. Since beginning her career at Northwestern Mutual, she has won awards for being a female leader in production with the company. Over the years she has developed a broad financial services capacity with the focus of being at the center of her client’s financial lives. Her passion is helping clients navigate through complicated financial situations while comprehensively planning for their most important life goals.
Maria graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BBA in Marketing, Administrative Management & International Business. After graduating she entered her family business, Glenn Rieder Inc., a Milwaukee-based company specializing in the manufacturing of high-end woodwork and related trades for the hospitality market. Maria focused her time on managing the employee benefits, oversight of high-end projects, and helping to develop a culture that employees thrived in. Maria grew up in the Oconomowoc area on Okauchee Lake and enjoys going back to lake country whenever possible.
Maria currently lives on the East Side of Milwaukee with her husband Tim and together they have two adult children, Harrison and Stella. Harrison & Stella both currently attend UW-Madison Maria and Tim are members at St. Robert Parish and active with fundraising at Marquette High School and Divine Savior Holy Angels. On her free time, Maria enjoys lake activities in the summer, skiing in the winter and spending as much time as she can at the Milwaukee Yacht Club or the Milwaukee Athletic Club.
I started my career in 1979 as a college intern with Northwestern Mutual. I converted to a full time Financial Representative in 1982. Fast forward, 41 years later, and I am a CLU, Wealth Management Advisor, and partner with Myklebust, Horne and Fies (MHF) Financial Group; Northwestern Mutual.
Working with my partners and our group in Mequon, Myklebust, Horne and Fies is able to offer many opportunities to assist our clients with their financial planning process. Our team is very instrumental in helping us give clients the most accomplished and thorough financial preparation, and to build strong, diverse portfolios designed to weather all market conditions.
My wife, Linda, and I live in Mequon and have three adult children. At some point or another we have all been a part of the Northwestern Mutual family. Our oldest, Ashley, has followed in my footsteps and is a Financial Representative, and has her own practice with Northwestern Mutual, in Los Angeles California. Our youngest, Christie, is an Associate Wealth Management Advisor with Myklebust, Horne and Fies Financial Group, and David Jr., is in sales with SES Imotag, and was an NM college Intern. Linda was a Financial Representative before we started our family.
Linda and I love to travel and spend as much time as possible at our Log Cabin in St. Germain, Wisconsin. We love being outdoors hiking, biking, boating, skiing and snowmobiling. There’s no place we’d rather be than outside! We support, and are involved, in many Local Charities. We feel that we have been very blessed and it is our privilege and responsibility to share what we have been given with others.
Nathen joined MHF in 2021 after independently advising for 4 years prior. Nate is a lead advisor, assisting the partners in providing continued service and succession planning for our current clients, as well as providing insurance and investment guidance to new clients. Nate is driven by a constant desire to help others in their personal, professional, and financial endeavors.
Nate graduated with honors from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI and received his MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2015. Nate grew up in Fort Atkinson, WI and now resides in Milwaukee with his two rescue dogs. Outside of work you can find Nate tearing up the dance floor at the nearest polka stage, swimming, weightlifting and golfing!

Anthony Fabris CPA, CFP®, CFA®, RICP®
Financial Planning Analyst
Anthony joined the ensemble in 2020 as a Personal Planning Analyst and assists with the development and monitoring of financial plans and strategies for Hans Myklebust’s client base. He is passionate about comprehensive retirement planning and helping each client achieve their specific goals. Prior to MHF, Anthony spent 6 years in the financial services industry, most recently as an Audit Manager at a public accounting firm focused on the financial services industry.
Anthony and his wife Stacy live in Cedarburg with their two sons, Connor and Marty. In his free time, he enjoys playing in an adult hockey league with other Marquette alumni as well as traveling with Stacy.

Jimmy joined the team in 2022 as a financial planning analyst and assists with the development and monitoring of financial plans and strategies for Myklebust, Horne & Fies Financial Group. Jimmy began his career in financial services at Northern Trust Asset Management, where he spent four years as an Investment Associate in the Institutional Client Group. Prior to joining the industry, Jimmy spent two years as a marketing analytics consultant at Nielsen after playing professional basketball in Germany.
Jimmy graduated from Princeton University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics in 2014. At Princeton, he played four years of varsity basketball and was a member of the 2011 Ivy League champions and NCAA Tournament-qualifying team. He is also a proud Whitefish Bay High School alum.
Jimmy and his wife, Brynn, live in their hometown of Whitefish Bay with their daughter, Cecilia. Outside of work, he is an aspiring golfer and enjoys playing and teaching basketball, and long family walks.
Angie is responsible for guiding clients through our financial planning process and managing client relationships. Angela has been in the financial services industry for over 25 years. After spending many years utilizing her investment experience in the securities industry, she joined Northwestern Mutual because of the holistic approach to financial planning. Angela enjoys helping individuals, families and business owners recognize the importance of planning for and preserving their financial future.
Outside of Northwestern Mutual, Angela lives in Hubertus with her husband Jeff, two children and dog. She also takes care of her Mom and is very active in her Parish Community at St. Gabriel.

After interning for David Horne in 2014, Christie officially joined the MHF team in 2015. Christie the director of client services for Barry Fies and is responsible for scheduling appointments, preparing for client meetings and providing direction for client requests. Christie graduated with a BA from Indiana University and has been working in the financial industry since.
Outside of work, Christie enjoys spending time in Northern Wisconsin, traveling and she especially loves spending time with her family and two dogs.

Ben joined the team in 2020 with four years of experience in the wealth management industry. He graduated from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2016 with a BA in Finance. On the team, he works closely with Wealth Management Advisor, Barry Fies. He can assist with servicing client’s investment accounts, trading, and meeting preparation.
Ben grew up in Cudahy, WI and currently lives in Grafton, WI with his wife Rachel and dog Hunter. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

Sam joined the MHF team in 2023 following graduation from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with honors in Finance and Business Management. On the team, he works closely with Wealth Management Advisor, Barry Fies. He assists with client services and meeting preparation.
Sam grew up in Pewaukee, WI, and attended Marquette University High School. As an avid fisherman, he spends most of his free time wading through rivers fishing for trout or on inland lakes catching walleye. On rare occasions he is not fishing, Sam loves spending time with family and golfing with friends.
Kelly joined the team in 2018 after graduating from Marquette University with a degree in Accounting and International Business. On the team, she works closely with Wealth Management Advisors, Maria Roloff. She can assist with servicing client’s insurance and investment accounts, trading, and meeting preparation.
Kelly was born and raised in the Milwaukee area and currently lives downtown. When she is not in the office, she enjoys activities such as hiking, camping, and playing volleyball.

Matt Totsky joined the team in 2018 as the Director of Investments. Prior to starting with Northwestern Mutual, Matt worked as an equity research analyst for a small cap investment manager. Matt is responsible for the overall implementation and oversight of investment strategies and portfolio construction. Matt graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006 with a BBA in Finance, Investments, and Banking. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation.
Matt and his wife Renee live in Germantown with their two children, Anna and Joe. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, fishing, and other outdoor activities with his family.

Jolie Keller joined the MHF team in 2023. Prior to starting with Northwestern Mutual, Jolie worked as the Director of Investment Research for a local wealth management firm. She has been in the finance industry for more than thirty years and has an extensive experience in asset allocation, portfolio construction, research, trading, and client relationship management. Jolie will be working closely with the associate wealth management advisors and the implementation of our investment strategy. She has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation.
Jolie lives in Thiensville with her dog, Jed and has a daughter, Anna, who is a graduate student at Texas A&M. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling, outdoor concerts, live sporting events, and travelling.

Mary Kathryn Becker MBA, RICP®
Chief Operating Officer
Mary Becker joined Myklebust, Horne & Fies Financial Group in 2020 as the Chief Operating Officer. In her role, Mary is responsible for driving strategic planning and execution, operational excellence and ensuring an impactful experience for both the team members and clients. Mary brings an extensive Northwestern Mutual background after spending over 15 years providing strategic leadership to home office operational teams in underwriting, in-force servicing and claims. Mary has an MBA from Marquette University and a BS in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
Mary and her husband Marc live on the East Side of Milwaukee with their two children, Kate and Sam. Kate currently attends the University of Oregon and Sam is at Marquette University High School. While not at work, or chauffeuring her kids to sports, Mary can most often be found outdoors – either running, attempting to walk her two Labrador retrievers or playing golf.

Mary Jo joined the team in 2016 as the Director of Operations and currently serves as our Director of Client Services. Mary Jo is responsible for directing the workflow for Hans Myklebust. Preparing for client meetings, managing communication to the team and providing direction for client requests.
Mary Jo met Hans and became a client in 2007. Per his recommendations, she became a staff member with Northwestern Mutual in 2009 as an Associate Financial Representative. Mary Jo has a BA from the University of St. Thomas in Business/Marketing and a Master's in Education from the University of Vermont.
She is married to Gary and has two children, Robert and Elizabeth. Robert is working for Fed Ex as an Account Executive and Elisabeth is in graduate school at UWM for Speech Therapy.

Heather Gorichanaz joined the team in 2004. Heather supports Barry Fies and Maria Roloff guiding clients through the underwriting process and assisting with their service needs. Heather was born and raised in Milwaukee. She received her BA in Psychology from St. Norbert College in 2000. Heather and her husband, Tom live in Greenfield with their very spoiled dogs Ernie and Stanley. When she’s not working, Heather enjoys reading, music, and spending time with her family.

Kim has been with Northwestern Mutual for over 30 years and joined our team in 2016. Kim handles a wide range of responsibilities with New Business, Policy Owner Services, and Client Relations. She manages insurance underwriting requirements and service requests; takes applications for insurance clients; service existing insurance accounts; prepares for client meetings, and can make client appointments.
Kim lives in Milwaukee with her husband Mark, and daughter Rachel. They have another daughter Jess, son-in-law Matt, and two granddaughters – Lucy and Nora. In her spare time, Kim enjoys reading, movies, trivia night, and spending time with family and friends.

After being part of the recruiting team at the Northwestern Mutual - Downtown Milwaukee Agency, Emma joined MHF in 2020 as our Marketing and Communications specialist. Emma graduated from Marquette University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Corporate Communications and a Minor in Marketing. Emma contributes to the overall growth of the ensemble through business development, marketing, ongoing client engagement and scheduling for Maria Roloff. Outside of work you can find her spending time with her friends and family, attending Marquette basketball games, traveling, and skiing in the winter!
Jenny joined the team in 2021 bringing with her 5 years of previous Northwestern Mutual experience. This included individual client support and directing the Client Relations Center for our General Agency.
She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Wisconsin– Whitewater. Jenny is crucial with helping our team behind the scenes with problem solving and keeping our operations efficient- this includes data management, communication with our Home Office, and overall support of our team members.
While not in the office, Jenny enjoys cooking, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with friends and family (which includes a host of adorable dogs).
